Goddess Madhaveswari is located in Prayaga and is believed to have taken abode where the fingers of Goddess Shakti had fallen. This place is known as “Sapta Moksh Stals,” a holy shrine that blesses devotees with liberation or salvation. A popular ritual called “venipradana” involves offering two or four inches of hair, which is believed to remove Pithru doshas, evil spirits, and bring material abundance, good health, and prosperity to the devotees.
